— Kory Jose Flowers, 30, no address listed, was charged with petty theft after an officer responded to a Dresden Avenue business at 3:39 p.m. Friday in which he allegedly switched tags on items to lower the costs when scanning $184.35 worth of merchandise.

— Antwane G. McMeans, 22, no address listed, was cited for possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and failure to signal following a traffic stop at the Calcutta exit of state Route 11 at 4:15 p.m. Thursday. A K-9 officer alerted to a specific area of the vehicle and an investigation revealed a piece of loose plastic that when pulled down caused a large bag of white rock substance to fall to the ground. The vehicle and McMeans’ cell phones were seized for an investigation of drug trafficking.

— A 1600 block Globe Street resident reported at 7:09 p.m. Aug. 10 the front driver’s side window of his vehicle had been broken.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Riverview Street at 5:17 p.m. Aug. 10 where a resident reported a neighbor told him she heard a saw near his home and when he checked a vehicle on the property he found what appeared to be a cut on the catalytic convertor. The officer found the gravel by the vehicle had been disturbed, possibly caused by a jack that was used to lift the vehicle.

— A Smithfield Street resident reported at 4:36 p.m. Aug. 10 a package of home surveillance equipment worth $250 had been stolen from her porch within 20 minutes of its delivery.

— Officers responded to a 1000 block Dresden Avenue business at 3:45 p.m. Aug. 10 in reference to a juvenile who had been caught stealing earlier in the day riding his bicycle past the business, scaring employees. The juvenile was told not to return to the business.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Dakota Street at 9:46 a.m. Aug. 10 in reference to a woman going door to door asking for police. Officers spoke with the woman who said she needed in her residence to get her belongings and officers stood by while she did so.

— An officer responded to the 900 block of Denver Street at 9:09 p.m. Aug. 9 in reference to a man in the street threatening others but found nothing out of the ordinary.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of McKinnon Avenue at 8:38 p.m. Aug. 9 in reference to three people looking in abandoned house windows. Officers spoke with the three people and told them to leave and not return.
